INTRODUCTION
Today we are going to study the fourth Poetry in the English Reader book, Class III. The poem's name is My Playmate.
SYNOPSIS
In this poem written by Mary I. Osborn, she has described the shadow of a person to be his ultimate mate. The poem is written in the point of view of a child who innocently imagines his own shadow to be his friend, his playmate who walks with him, even on a rainy day. The little boy describes his playmate as a kind friend who always smiles back at him. So, let's watch this video:

Ans: Priya placed two ROAD CLOSED signs on either side of the pothole as she worked to turn it into a garden. After she was done, she placed the third sign (that said: PLEASE BE CAREFUL! GARDEN IN ROAD!) into the soil that she had used to make the garden. 

h) What made Priya take action to fill the pothole? Give as many reasons as you can. 
Ans: Priya couldn't bear to see accidents occurring any more because of the pothole. Being a responsible citizen, she decided to take some action. Her civic sense also prompted her to write a letter to the authorities, but when there was no response, she decided to do something herself. 

i) Make a list of the types of accidents that took place because of the pothole. 
Ans: The accidents that took place because of the pothole:
• vehicles getting stuck in the pothole
• automobile crashes
• loss of load by heavy vehicles and carts 
• falls
• accidents caused due to swerving
• punctures

j) What do you think the Mayor and the Chief of Police said when they saw the pothole garden? 
Ans: The Mayor and the Chief of Police probably congratulated Priya and talked about the need of a similar sense of responsibility in the rest of the people of the

Ans : The Scarecrow is afraid of a lighted match because his entire body is stuffed with straw and straw catches fire very easily.

Ans :  No, it is not possible to walk and talk without a brain, but this is a story and the Scarecrow is a fictional character.

Summary : This chapter is about a girl named Dorothy. She is on her way to meet the great Oz to ask him to send her back home to Kansas. On the way she meets a Scarecrow who was very friendly to her. So Dorothy told the Scarecrow of her journey and why she was going to meet the great Oz. Now the Scarecrow also wanted to accompany her as he wanted to ask the great Oz for a brain for himself. So now begins the journey of Dorothy and the Scarecrow.
