Today we are going to revise the first lesson of English Composition for Class III. The chapter's name is The Apostrophe.
CHAPTER:
First of all, let's watch this video :
Through the above video, we have learnt that:
• The apostrophe (') is a punctuation mark used in English writing. 
• The apostrophe is used to indicate an omission of letters to form shortened words. 

•The apostrophe indicates possession. 
• Add the apostrophe and an 's' to form the possessive of a singular noun. 
• Add the apostrophe and an 's' to the possessive of a plural noun that does not end in 's'. 
NOTE : Please remember that 's is not usually used in the case of a non-living thing:
The car's windshield was being washed. ╳
The windshield of the car was being washed. ✔

1st Stanza :
                    Robin sang sweetly

                    He sang with all his might
2nd stanza :

Today we are  going to revise the very first chapter of English Prose. Dorothy Meets the Scarecrow

SUMMARY:
This chapter is about a girl named Dorothy. She is on her way to meet the great OZ to ask him to send her back home to Kansas. On the way she meets a Scarecrow who was very friendly to her. So Dorothy told the Scarecrow of her journey and why she was going to meet the great OZ. Now the Scarecrow also wanted to accompany her as he wanted to ask the great OZ for a brain for himself. So now begins the journey of Dorothy and the Scarecrow.

Today we are  going to revise all the questions and answers of the first chapter of English Prose. Dorothy Meets the Scarecrow.
REVISION OF QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS :
Answer the following questions. 
1.What is the road made out of? 
Ans : The road is made out of yellow bricks.

2.Where is Dorothy going?

Ans : Dorothy is going to the Emerald City.

3. What is Dorothy's pet called and what type of creature is he? 

Ans: Dorothy's pet is called Toto. It is a dog.

4. Why is the Scarecrow in the field?

Ans: The Scarecrow is in the field to scare the birds and stop them from eating the ripe corn.

5. What does Dorothy do to help the Scarecrow?

Ans: Dorothy lifted the Scarecrow off the pole that was stuck up his back and set him down on the ground.

6. What does the Scarecrow do to help Dorothy? 

Ans : The Scarecrow carried Dorothy's basket for her.

7. What did the Scarecrow want to ask the Wizard of Oz for?

Ans : The Scarecrow wanted to ask the Wizard of Oz for a brain.

 8. How do we know that the Scarecrow is kind and polite? 

Ans: We know that the Scarecrow is kind and polite because when he meets Dorothy, he politely says 'How do you do.' He thanks her for helping him get off the pole. He is grateful to Dorothy when she says that she will ask Oz to help him. He also carries her basket for her.

9. Can you explain why the Scarecrow is afraid of a lighted match? 

Ans : The Scarecrow is afraid of a lighted match because his entire body is stuffed with straw and straw catches fire very easily. 

10. The Scarecrow says that he doesn't have a brain. Is it possible to walk and talk without a brain?

Ans:  No, it is not possible to walk and talk without a brain, but this is a story and the Scarecrow is a fictional character.

INTRODUCTION :
Today we are going to revise all the questions and answers of first Poetry in the English Reader book of class III. The poem's name is Robin.
REVISION OF QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS :
Answer the following questions. 
a. What are the four seasons? 
Ans :  The four seasons are spring, summer, autumn and winter.

b. When does Robin sing with all his might?
Ans :  The Robin sings with all his might in the summer.

 c. What does Robin say about autumn? 
Ans: Robin says that there are fruits for everyone in autumn. We should praise the Lord Almighty at all times.

 d. What does Robin say during the winter? 
Ans:  In the winter Robin says that somebody must sing, or winter will seem long.

e. When can we still hear Robin's song?
Ans: We can still hear the Robin's song in the cold winter.

 f. What does Robin say in the spring? 
Ans: In the spring, the Robin says that if one keeps singing, the winter will certainly go.

g. Do you'think that Robin is a happy bird? Why?
Ans : Yes, the Robin is a happy bird because he sings with all his might through all the seasons.

 h. Which of the following best describes Robin? Say why.

Ans: iii. hopeful Since Robin sings throughout the year with a note of hope, we can say that he is hopeful.
